Solvang’s next Movie in the
Park is “National Treasure,” Friday at Solvang Park. Cartoons begin at 7:30 p.m. with the feature presentation
starting at dark. Hot chocolate and fresh popcorn is available.
Free concert July 4
The Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale will present a free concert to
the community at 2 p.m. July 4, in the Veteran’s Memorial Building on Mission
Drive (Highway 246) in Solvang.
Directed by Chris A. Bowman,
the chorale will be accompanied by the same bluegrass band that played at the
three spring concerts in Buellton: Helen Townsend on piano, Diane Byington on fiddle, Chris Judge on guitar and banjo,
Brendon Statum on bass, and Rex Harte on drums and
percussion.
Spheeris in concert
Chris Spheeris
appears in concert with Eric Zang, at Roblar Winery on July 10 to raise money for the Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society.
Spheeris will perform vocal, guitar and piano pieces and will
be accompanied by Eric Zang on percussion and various
ethnic instruments.
Tickets for 5 p.m. VIP
reception and concert at $65 and include food and wine. Tickets for 7 p.m.

Jazz on the porch
The Margie Nelson Jazz Trio
will be playing on the porch of the Wildling Art Museum in Los Olivos July 12 at 1 – 4 p.m. The performance is free.
The trio, led by vocalist
Margie Nelson, specializes in swinging Sinatra and Nat King Cole tunes, as well
as 1950s swinger lounge Latin jazz and contemporary pop and blues. The
performance is free.
The Wildling Art Museum is
located at 2928 San Marcos Avenue, next to the Corner House Coffee.
Bluegrass in Goleta
The Song Tree Concert
Series, a monthly concert presented by the nonprofit Live Oak Unitarian
Universalist Congregation, presents Peter Feldmann
and the Old Time Band at 3 p.m. July 19 at the church located ad 820 N.

each Wednesday night through Sept 16. There is A $3 entertainment charge, which is paid directly to the
musicians, who will include the Jazz Collective, Stu Carey and X-Tet, Dave Bazinet Band and Mellonie Irvine, to name a few. The Vineyard House is
